Graduate Opportunities

(MIIS) in Monterey California will award two 2-year scholarships of $12,000 per academic year to JCMU alumni for graduate work in any of the MIIS programs including: International Policy (Trade, Development, Conflict Resolution, Security, Nonproliferation and Terrorism, Environmental Policy and Public Administration),  International Business, Translation and Interpretation, and Language Teaching.

The Research Studies Scholarship offers university graduates the opportunity to conduct research in Japan. Studies for this scholarship are conducted at the graduate level and can be used to attain one's Master's degree, a PhD or to conduct research work. The scholarship reward includes round-trip airfare, university tuition and fees, and a stipend for monthly living and is generally for a 1.5 to 2 year time period.

  • JET Programme
    The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme sends over 5,000 participants each year to Japan to live in Japan as Assistant Language Teachers, Coordinators for International Relations or Sports Exchange Advisors.
  • AEON
    AEON employs a teaching staff of over 800 teachers and education specialists from English-speaking nations.
  • Interac
    Interac employs native English speakers to teach in elementary, junior high, and high schools all over Japan.
  • Amity
    Amity specializes in teaching English to children and has opened over 70 different branch schools throughout Japan.
  • Hiyoshi Corporation
    Hiyoshi Corporation in Omihachiman, Japan offers internship opportunities for graduates and undergraduates for 2 to 6 months in areas of environmental science, chemistry, biotechnology, and public policy.
