Federal sanctions block access to MSU resources in several countries, including Cuba

Okta, MSU’s vendor for authentication systems, is no longer providing service to OFAC-sanctioned countries in compliance with US export control laws. Countries and regions under Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions are subject to change. Currently, this applies to Cuba as well as Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions of Ukraine. 

MSU travelers to the locations above will lose access to Okta’s multi-factor authentication on apps and websites behind their MSU login, including:

• Enterprise Business Systems (EBS)
• Student Information System (SIS)
• Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook
• Mediaspace (behind MSU login) and D2L
• Other applications behind the MSU login
