Guest Students

JCMU welcomes students from colleges and universities across the United States and around the world.

Students who do not attend a consortium, affiliate, or cooperative member institution enroll in JCMU as guest students through JCMU’s administrative agent in the United States, Michigan State University (MSU). These students:

• Will be prompted to apply for MSU Lifelong Education (LLE) status during the JCMU application process.
• Receive MSU credentials for the purpose of billing, enrollment, etc.
• May view their bill and other information through MSU StuInfo.
• Must request that their transcripts be sent from MSU to their home institution via the MSU Office of the Registrar Transcript Request page.

LLE students should work with their home institution to see what options may be available for transferring or receiving credit there. The LLE student may need to supply a copy of their course syllabus to be evaluated for transfer.
