JCMU accepts proposals to host programs administered and taught by other colleges and universities that are open only to their students.
Space for non-JCMU programs is limited, and is typically only available during the summer (generally May and August).
Non-JCMU programs that would like to use space at JCMU term must submit a proposal to the JCMU East Lansing office by June 1st of the year prior to the program’s run date. Proposals should include: an overview of the program, anticipated number of students, program dates, and description of desired site visits, field excursions, guest lectures and/or special activities.
Program leaders will be notified regarding their program’s status by August of the application year.
Program leaders of accepted proposals will have February 1st to submit final numbers for room reservations to the JCMU.
The administration of the program (such as collection and review of applications, curriculum decisions, and billing/student receivables) is the responsibility of the home institution. JCMU is only responsible for the amenities and services outlined in the accepted proposal.
Non-JCMU programs that are hosted by the Center must abide by JCMU’s standard policies and procedures, and are charged JCMU’s short-term room rental rates for lodging. Additional fees for services, on-site administration, activity facilitation and other program elements may be charged based on the program’s needs and itinerary.
If you wish to instead teach a program administered by JCMU as a faculty leader, please review the CCHP Keystone Course Instruction page.
