Semester Japanese Language and Culture12-14+ credits | ~15 weeks | Every Fall (September - December) or Spring (January - April)

Non-intensive Japanese language study from beginner through advanced with electives offered in various tracks: Japanese Culture & Society (fall and/or spring), Advanced Japanese + Internship (fall), Politics & Diplomacy (fall), and TESOL (spring).
Students studying Japanese at the Advanced level are able to take a Business Japanese Course while participating in a local internship at a company or organization in the Shiga area.
Summer Intensive Japanese Language10 credits | ~9 weeks | Every summer (June - August)

Intensive Japanese language study at levels 1 (beginner) through 4 (advanced). 10 credits per level.
2- or 3- week programs in summer exploring other topics in Japan.
